Finally...

Finally a new post!!!!!.... Well, this past weekend was kinda crazy, and though I don't think I did as bad as in the past, I still did not eat that great this weekend!... Cake, pizza, mexican food, and all kinds of goodies that I typically try to steer clear of--at least in large portions and not for several days in a row!!! I did get a leisurely walk in on Saturday with the fam prior to the big birthday party for my (now) one year old!!! However, I did not get a workout in on Monday. I was just too tired Sunday night after a full weekend, and I thought it best to sleep a couple of extra hours rather than workout. Mondays are somewhat busy, so I was unable to even get to a post (especially since I didn't have much to post about!) Today has been back to normal! I went to the Y this morning... yep, I made it. Barely. I went, but had a really hard time pushing myself this morning! I was on the treadmill for 40 minutes, did a 5k, but walked about 1/2 of it, I think! I kinda felt like I was taking 10 steps back when I had to walk! But I will take it all in stride (pun intended...) Friday at the Y, I will do my best to RUN a complete 5k!! For some positive news, last week I weighed in and lost another pound! How exciting!!! So, that's 14 lbs. total since I've started journaling!

One more positive thing... Despite the terrible picture, these are a pair of jeans I haven't fit into since after my firstborn! I have a ways to go, but getting there! These small rewards keep me going!!!




Food journal for Tuesday:

Breakfast: (1/2 peanut butter sandwich before workout.) 2 eggs and piece of whole wheat toast = 380 calories

Lunch: Turkey, cheese, lettuce and light miracle whip sandwich with a few chips = 410 calories

Afternoon snack: bowl of toasted oats & multigrain flakes w/ skim milk & (a little later) small bag of M&M's = 290 calories

So far that is 1080 calories!!! I will have to work to not go over since I have about 320 left! The bummer is that these calories I've eaten so far are not necessarily the best for me either! The afternoon snack really got me today! I just got hungry and ate what was right in front of me. I think tomorrow I'll try to have a protein shake in the afternoon instead of cereal and M&M's!:)

Wow you look amazing & congrats on the losing the extra pound. You have come so far and I'm so proud of you. Don't beat yourself up about the eating over the weekend -you had every right you were celebrating!

Funny you posted in a pair of jeans, because I have a pair of jeans that I was wearing even 6 months after I had AJ and now I can pull them off and on without unbuttoning and unzipping them. I might just have to post a picture of me in them and then a pair I can fit into now. Thanks for the idea!
