This Week....

Well, this week has been a strange week for me... It seems that with all I have going on, I do better when I stick to a routine of some sort! Well, that routine was a little out of whack this week! So, my workouts got cut out! I tried to do my best with eating healthy, but I'm not going to get upset about missing some workouts! My good friend over at All Pain~No Gain had a great post today that really spoke to me!.. She said something like this, it's good to be healthy and take care of the bodies God gave us, but to be obsessed and to sacrifice other things (like family, for instance) is not what the point of all this is!!!!... So, in order to be faithful to what God has called me to at this time in my life--being wife & mommy and going to school--I will sometimes (as I already have) take days off that aren't scheduled and will not feel guilty for it! I will still be posting, of course, and will do my best to get my workouts in and definitely eat healthy! I just wanted to share, after being encouraged by my friend, and I, myself, having a strange week, that I am committed to this, but I am more committed to my husband, my kids, and my Lord!!!

You actually said it better than I did! This is something that I really struggle with, because when I start something I do it 110% - especially when there is a goal to me. I was getting too frustrated and obsessed with it, especially when things didn't go as I would have hoped.
The Beth Moore study that you chose for us to do couldn't have been a better one. Thank you, thank you, thank you. It's as if it's speaking directly to me and it has really opened my eyes.
It's not as if I plan on slacking, I just don't want to let it rule my life and my thoughts when there are much better things that I should be doing, thinking and praying about!
I hope you know that I couldn't do all this without you!

There are seasons in life where you have to decide what things to focus on and which to let go, even if it is only for a day or two. From what I am beginning to know of you, you do a great job of putting God first and your family second. Everything else will fit where it can and you should never beat yourself up for it. I tend to obsess over things until I lose focus on what is truely important. I think it's great that you have the ablitiy to keep it in perspective.

thanks for the encouragement, friends!!! what in the world would we do without community?!!! God is so good and knows us SO well!! i have been amazed at the timeliness of the bible study we're doing and how it's speaking to ALL of us right where we're at and just what we really need to hear RIGHT NOW!! God's faithfulness and provision is always there, and it's more evident when we're actually SEEKING it!! i'm so glad to have friends, like you two faithful commenters, who will help and encourage me along the way! and also say things i need to hear (even the hard things!) so, thank you!!!:)
