Wrapping Up Thursday & Friday

Food Journal for the end of Thursday:

Snakc: As I said I had a protein shake, but it wasn't quite enough. So, I also had a small bowl of multigrain and toasted oats cereal mixed with skim milk. Both of these snacks = 240 calories

Dinner: 1 cup whole wheat pasta, 1/2 chicken breast, 2 pieces of french bread, and 1 cup steamed broccoli = 470 calories

Late night: I met a friend for coffee at Starbucks and had a grande white peppermint mocha (my absolute favorite!) I have no idea how many calories... or should I say, I purposefully did not check into it!! But my total calories after dinner was 1160, so I definitely had the room for such a treat!

Friday:

We've had sort of a rough week! My oldest was sick a lot of the week and my youngest and husband were as well!.... So, this morning, after a long night with my baby up coughing, I canceled going to the Y. And today, there were just other things that were a priority over working out! So, I'll just post my food journal so far:

Breakfast: bowl of multigrain flakes and toasted oats mixed with skim milk and one piece of whole wheat toast w/ cinnamon and splenda = 220 calories

Lunch: chicken breast and one piece of whole wheat bread and some steamed broccoli = 320

That's it so far today!

I just want to say, that I actually feel good about this week, despite the fact that I only got in two workouts! That's just how it goes sometimes.... But I had a lot more control over my eating than I have in previous weeks. So, I feel good about that! Now, if I can just do my full workout regimen and eat good--that would be GREAT!

You do seem like you're doing better on the eating. Good for you. You've had a ton going on with your family being sick, so I don't blame you for only getting in two workouts. With the weather beginning to change I'm sure we will be having the same problems in my house. Sometimes those things happen - you seem like your handling it well. I'm proud of you.
